主讲《仪器分析》、《无机及分析化学》等本科生课程和《仪器分析》研究生课程。主持《仪器分析》课程获评湖北省线上一流课程。获华中农业大学教学成果一等奖、二等奖等教学成果奖3项。在科学出版社和中国农业出版社主编出版《仪器分析》、《基础化学实验》等规划教材3部。
近五年,以第一作者或通讯作者身份在《Advanced Materials》、《Advanced Functional Materials》等国际知名学术期刊上发表SCI收录论文50余篇,其中影响因子大于5.0的30篇,大于9.0的20余篇,ESI高被引论文3篇;在《环境化学》、《食品科学》等CSCD期刊上发表研究论文10余篇。为华中农业大学化学学科及环境/生态学学科ESI进入全球排名前1%重要贡献学者之一。担任《Advanced Functional Materials》、《Applied Catalysis B: Environmental》、《ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces》、《Journal of Power Sources》、《Journal of Catalysis》、《Chemical Engineering Journal》、《Catalysis Science & Technology》等多个国际学术期刊审稿人。
担任应化专业本科生导师,已培养博士、硕士研究生50余人。培养的研究生中10人次获国家奖学金、2人获评湖北省优秀硕士学位论文、5人获评华中农业大学优秀博士或硕士学位论文。

能源环境材料及光催化技术、环境与食品分析化学。长期从事有害物质(农药残留、重金属等)的分析和降解、纳米材料以及环境化学交叉领域的研究工作。
